Local Area Information
Cycling
The Hautes- Pyrenees is extremely popular with cyclists of all levels and there are hundreds and different routes to choose from. The world famous Col de Toumelet and Col D'Aspin can be reached from the property, along with more leisurly rolling hills in The Barronnies. The Tour de France passes through the area every year.
Hiking/Walking
We are located in the foothills of the Pyrenees and thousands of walks and be found for every level. I do have numerous walking books you can use, but please note these are in French. Many of the walks are centred around mountain lakes. Good examples of these being Lac Bleu and Pont D'Espange.
Skiing
There are numerous ski stations in the Pyrennes, the closest and largest being La Mongie at the Col de Toumelet. The properties are also ideally located for those who wish to ski at different resorts, good examples being Cauterets and Saint Lary Soulan.
Water Sports
There are plenty of opportinities to enjoy kayaking, canyoning, rafting and many other water sports in the area.
Golf
There is a world class golf course 4 miles/6km from us. The fees being very reasonable.

Caves
There are numerous caves in the region, some with prehistoric cave painting and others with the most magnificant formations.
Cures/thermal baths
The region is famed in France for its themal waters and many still come to take the ''cures''. There is also a modern spa bath and hammam in Bagneres.

Local Markets and towns
We are close to the pilgramige town of Lourdes. Pau, a beautiful historic city, is only a hour away. There is the medeival town of St Bertrand de Comminges. Bagneres which has plenty of restaurants and bars for the evening also has a vibrant market every Saturday.
